Sound and Fury Fest in DTLA

Since 2006, Sound and Fury has brought hardcore camaraderie to southern California with some of the world’s heaviest and hard hitting bands. With it's early beginnings in Ventura, underground hardcore artists pummeled the scene with legendary sets in warehouses and small clubs. The fest has continued to grow in size and in 2016 Sound and Fury upgraded to the Regent Theater, but with it's rapid increase in fans and bands, found it's 10th anniversary show taking place at The Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

The anniversary weekend kicked off on July 14th, and with Ceremony scheduled as the headliner, there was no doubt that this year was going to be bigger and harder than ever. The fest teamed up with Pure Noise Records this year, and the Belasco was packed on each level with merch, vendors, and bands both performing, and just hanging out. With two stages, a main stage and an intimate stage, there was plenty to experience.

While there are plenty of well-known bands that appear from the hardcore scene, Sound and Fury continues to leans towards booking newer artists and giving them a festival to truly shine.
