Spanish garage rock band Hinds, brought their high energy live show to Chicago’s Lincoln Hall on May 11th. Their sixteen song set included eight songs off their latest album I Don't Run on Lucky Number Music. Noteable openers, Goodbye Honolulu, the hard rocking quartet from Toronto, Canada, really set the stage for a night vigorous indie rock. Hinds was joined on stage by members of Goodbye Honolulu and hometown indie favorites Twin Peaks on the song "Davey Crockett", one of the highlights of the night.

Hinds, Carlotta Cosials (vocals, guitar), Ana Perrote (vocals, guitar), Ade Martin (bass, backing vocals) and Amber Grimbergen (drums), from Madrid, formed in 2011. Originally a duo called Deers, (Cosials and Perrote), the band added members Martin and Grimbergen and in 2014 changed their name, primarily to avoid any potential legal issues from a band with a similar name, The Dears. The group chose Hinds for female deers.
