Death From Above 1979 Slay The Metro

Death From Above 1979 (DFA) has indeed carved a unique niche in alternative rock with their fierce bass-and-drum-driven sound. Sebastien Grainger and Jesse F. Keeler's reunion after nearly a decade of separation was pivotal, reintroducing their powerful, gritty music to a new generation. Their journey has been punctuated by anthemic releases and high-energy performances, proving the band’s staying power in the scene.

After their explosive debut with You're a Woman, I'm a Machine, DFA’s hiatus left fans yearning, only for them to come back even stronger with The Physical World (2014), marking a triumphant return to the charts and late-night TV. Outrage! Is Now (2017) further solidified their relevance, as they continued to evolve sonically. Their recent release, Is 4 Lovers, shows the duo embracing new creative directions, while staying true to the raw energy and rhythmic intensity that define their music.
