“A Special Intimate Acoustic Performance with All Time Low,” those words were enough to send greater Nashville, TN into an utter panic. As All Time Low, who hadn’t performed in Nashville in over three years (the last time they were here was a mere “In Store Signing” for Dirty Work) was actually performing in Nashville. Unsurprisingly, the show sold-out weeks before the April 27th date at The Cowan; where General Admission, Guest List, and VIP could all be found circling around the building in a singular line of excitement.
As concert-goers filed into the building, they were treated to Nashville’s very own Justin Forrest. Who brought folksy, light-hearted, love songs to the stage. A light-hearted opening, to a light-hearted upbeat band.
All Time Low graced the stage with jokes blazing; as it only took guitarist Jack Barakat two songs before cracking a joke about getting naked and having someone “paint targets on his body.” Before he proceeded to joke about running nude on the neighboring TopGolf field. Humor and raw emotion permeated the night and continued to create an “intimate” connection between All Time Low and the fans; as the jokes got them laughing and the heart-felt statements forged bonds. Lead Singer, Alex Gaskarth was integral in creating this intimate and heart-felt experience; as he not only shared personal feelings but recognized the crowd’s as well.
From taking a concert-goers cellphone and taking video footage to pointing out a sign which read “11 Years ago was our first date at an All Time Low concert.” Gaskarth forged bonds by truly engaging with the audience. Even commenting on the sign by saying, “if you can make it through an All Time Low Concert, you can make it through anything.” The sheer fact that All Time Low were genuine with their fans, turned a great night into a memorable night; leaving their fans smiling and gushing about the concert hours after.
